  • What are these margin rules | What do yoy mean by 80% of value today and 20% of value tomorrow?
As per the margin rules from SEBI, if you have done a Sell transaction today, then out of the sell value 80% is only available for trade on same day. The remaining 20% will be available on the next day. We advise 75% and 25% so that in Step 1 we do not miss out any transactions due to price fluctuations.
  • What does Step 1 and Step 2 in rebalancing mean?
We have divided the rebalance phase into Step-1 and Step-2 based on funds available for Trade. In Step -1 you can execute the Sell transactions as per recommendation, and then the buy transactions worth of 75% of sell value which is available to trade on same day. SEBI rules mandate a maximum of 80%; we have kept 75% to retain some buffer in case some transactions do not go through. We go through a Step 2 rebalancing action on the next day covering the remaining 25%. In Step-2 you can complete the remaining buy transactions with rest 20% of previous day'sell value, which is available on the next trade day.
